What GPs are saying about LocumDeck

"The NASGP and the GP locum chambers that I'm in have provided invaluable assistance both before and through Covid-19 to me as a full-time GP locum. All aspects of locum work have been made easier as a result of membership and the chamber's support structure - from accessing work, to ensuring invoicing and documentation is all sorted, and access to other locums as peer support. Having a chamber manager means I feel more secure and can devote more of my energy on my clinical work."

Dr Richard Smith, GP, Suffolk

Dr Richard Smith, GP, Suffolk

"Joining NASGP's Locum Chambers in Essex after CCT has been a fantastic decision for me. The Chambers structure provides support with my locum work as well as a peer support network with regular meetings.

The Chambers support also extends to support with complaints when these occur. This is an amazing benefit that helps to minimise the professional isolation that can come with being a locum.

The Instant Book feature within LocumDeck makes arranging sessions easy. Whilst getting things set up initially does take a bit of work, this eventually pays off and the return on this initial time investment is impressive. New features are always being added based on feedback from members. "

Dr Shanil Shivji, GP, Essex

"Since joining NASGP Locum Chambers I have noted a positive change which I feel has made a significant contribution in both my professional and personal life.

LocumDeck's booking system puts me in touch with a large number of surgeries. I work part-time and the software is intricately tailored to facilitate working at my pace and choice.

In addition, I have access to the NASGP Locum Chambers' supporting infrastructure such as the Chambers Manager through whom all my admin work (like generating invoices and pension forms) is organised. In the past this felt like a load. Now I feel that my time is 'freed up' and so I have a better work-life balance. Working with NASGP Locum Chambers has simplified my life."

Dr Smita Iyer, GP, Essex

"I started my career as a GP locum last year a week after CCT. I strongly agree with the doctors who praise the NASGP team. If there is no NASGP, there would be no GP locum called Dr Darshanie Seneviratne.

The team is absolutely amazing especially Dr Richard Fieldhouse, Ali Lewis and Jacqui Gumbrell – all providing unbelievable support to us. I've never seen such urgent assistance from any other team at any point in my career. For example when one of my invoices was delayed by a month and a half, Ali was incredibly supportive. It is a very good strength for us as we have support with any issues. I would like to stay with this amazing team forever. "

Dr Darshanie Seneviratne, GP, Essex

"As a newly-qualified CCT and a GP moving to a new region post-CCT, I found LocumDeck and the NASGP to be very helpful. LocumDeck has been useful: Ali Lewis helped me to set myself up, get in touch with practices and book sessions, and also helped me chase payments. The NASGP itself, providing peer support and advice, has also been very good. I would certainly encourage my colleagues to join."

Dr Smita Sharma, GP, Hertfordshire

"I fell into a salaried role post-CCT, so faced with an unexpected relocation to a completely new area of the country the thought of GP locuming was incredibly daunting.

The assistance I have received from NASGP has been invaluable. I have received excellent and patient admin support when setting up my LocumDeck account. I have enjoyed the monthly chambers meetings I have attended: this made locuming feel far less isolating.

I have easily found plentiful work and am grateful for the invoicing and pension forms being taken care of – this gives me time to focus on the clinical work or make the most of precious days off.

With the support of NASGP Locum Chambers I have filled my diary working in a variety of practices in my new area, and have now joined one practice I enjoyed locuming at on a salaried basis while I continue to do some locum work on top using LocumDeck."

Dr Joanne Wright, GP, Essex
